What is the Best Business Model to Follow?
Here's a new question from a reader...
"To be really succesful online does take a lot of patience, work, and determination. I get bombarded by hundreds of offers from other gurus who are consistently trying to sell me something that I usually don¹t need. Is it best to start my own online business or follow someone else¹s online business model?"

Very interesting Joel. I decided to sell my product only in digital form (PDF eBook and MP3 Audio Book), however I'm now considering also offering it as a physical product (book and CD's), as I'm sure there's a large online market who still like to buy physical products rather than just downloads
I know I can market my product as a gift, and also to sell it in bulk to corporates, clubs, etc., but that won't work if it's only in digital form
Just have to keep tweaking that business model...I know it will increase my distribution costs, but I'm sure you initially went through the same thing, but realised that your sales would soon absorb those extra costs
Cheers

Hi Joel,
It is always great to hear your honest and sound advice. There is no doubt, that a lot of new online marketers, often are clueless on where to begin?

Hi Joel,
Great advice about avoiding info overload. A lot of marketers send out emails promoting every product under the sun and tell you that you need this product. I believe marketers would do better by customizing their email promotions and explaining the type of business person, business model, etc that the product would work best for.
Also great tips about following in the footsteps of others to avoid repeating their mistakes. I do believe that people learn better by example. Well at least I do. It is a huge time saver to learn from someone else than to figure out stuff on your own through trial and error. So when you buy a product to learn from, not only should you use the product but you should think about how you can customize the information/business model to fit your niche.
Great insights Joel! Looking forward to learning more from you.

HI Joel
Great topic the biggest problem is the info overload, stay focused on what you do,and only that If you could market "info blinkers" for newbies you'd make a fortune

They way that you put together this concise and digestible blog is something I'm going to model. I've been checking you out for a couple years, Joel, and the few minutes I've spent with your e-mails or blogs once or twice a week has always been worthwhile.

Very good tips for a newbie. There is much information overload these days that everything seems necessary to know to stay ahead.

A really good content based site can actually also promote products and be an affiliatte to products also.
But that classification is really good just to understand the monetization part of things.
good video,
