The Success Factor

I've taken a short break from doing instructional videos, but I am back!

I surveyed my list and encouraged them to ask their most burning question about making money online.

I had no idea what I was in for!

So I am going to get busy answering questions, starting with this one...

"When planning for a business online, what do you think is the most important factor that will determine whether or not you will be successful? "

Nice video. I have a poster on my wall with the formula:

    Ideas + Plan + Action = Success

Every time I get bored or start to get fed up with a project, I look at it and it always gets me motivated.

Hope to see you make some more great responses, Joel.

    So true, Joel.

As knowledge alone is not power. It becomes powerful only when it is applied through positive action.

Even if our activities don't require strict deadlines, we should go ahead and set them for ourselves anyway.

I look forward to your future videos.

Actually I believe the most important factor that will determine whether you are successful or not is if you get credit for your sales.

You can take action every day but if you are not getting credit for your sales then you are just wasting your time.

The majority of online programs still have glitches in their referral tracking, on purpose or not. That is why over 95% still fail.

And that is a good reason to just put up sites or blogs about your own interests, put Adsense or other ad network codes on it and show it to everyone. There is no sense in advertising for someone else's benefit.

    Hi Joel,

I'm not sure I like the message you're delivering here. You state that a person can take the worst product, and with the right marketing, can be successful with it. You use Fast Food chains as your example.

Most of the fast food chains I frequent actually DO have darn good food. If they didn't, I wouldn't go back. It's not the marketing, it's the product that gets repeat business and makes money.

What you're telling people here is that they can create garbage to sell, and "foist it" on the general public successfully. That's only true if the general public consists of people who don't know any better.

I have a saying I'm fond of: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME.

It has become more and more apparent in the time I've been reading the gurus that the ideal target market for those in the IM niche is the newbie and the desperate.

I'm not saying that sound, principled marketing and a solid plan of action aren't essential components of success. That I agree with. The keyword there, though, is Principled.

This video has inspired me and given me the key words for being successful.
    Thanks

I agree with you action is the driving force that make any business successful. Sometimes even the best "plan/system" failed because it is not fully implemented.

Thanks for the video. It reminds me to act on the things I have in mind.

"Even the best technique is useless, if it is not projected into the hands". - from the book Samurai Selling.

  7. Joel Says:

Unfortunately, it is true that terrible products CAN and DO sell with good marketing. I'm not saying that is what anyone should strive to do, but the fact of the matter is that most failing businesses can be turned around through good marketing. We should definitely aspire to create quality products that add massive value!

    Hey Joel,

    Great video post.

I think unfortunately with our culture of everyone getting everything they want with little effort, we lose site of the fact that any true level of success only comes when we step out and take ACTION!

We just have to get started on the idea and the problems will arise which is basically feedback. We need to look at that feedback and then find away to get around it.

But when no action is taken, you don't get that all important feedback to grow with.

Keep up the good work Joel!

    Good new look Joel

Yes, you need a plan and then you need to put that plan into action. I've seen many annual strategic plans taken out of the draw, updated for the coming year and then put back in the draw for another year - and these people wonder why they're not achieving their goals

Any plan, online or offline, needs to be kept alive and in shape, if it's goals are to be achieved

    Cheers

    Nice video, Joel :)

This is a thing that people who want to succeed just have to understand. Your success and your failure are all inside your head...

Most people just don't get it, though... I know it is hard to internalize, but looks like it is the only way to make it.

    Regards, Misha
