Wow. For a couple years I was under the impression, and have read over and over again, that AdSense ads should have the same color scheme as your website. I'm going off to experiment with white border, black URL, and blue links.

I was incredibly skeptical and held off on placing Ad Link units at first. I was having enough trouble getting them to click once, how could they possibly want to click twice?
Sure enough, the Ad Links are one of my higher clicked units.
Moral: Listen to what Joel says.
