Very interesting insight. The price tags for Vegas Studio and After Effects are high so if your just starting, all you need is a camera and windows movie maker, and you're all set!
Another great video, loved the outtakes!

It's amazing how much information it can be transmitted in a 2 minutes video if it is well compiled. It can answer a lot of questions, and it may clarify all the process. It's been said that one picture worth 1000 words, I think 2 minute videos worth a million words. Thanks for sharing.

Great information Joel,
I have tried out a couple of video editing programs just to realize that this is a big monster itself. One of the things I had to learn is that I can not be a jack of all trade. It is hard enough learning internet marketing then to learn another application. I have also found out that sometimes it is just easier to outsource some work so that I can concentrate on other things.
Thanks,
Malik

Hello Joel:
I think your presentation is nice and balanced. It is nice to be upbeat about what can be a long process.
I completely agree with you that you just get started and capture some footage of your ideas.
Start using some kind of video editor. There are many out there in the market that are low cost. Someone else mentioned windows movie maker. There is a huge following for this free video editor built into windows Xp.
So there is no excuse to try! :)
Even if you master just one skill of cutting and Editing! Go Through the raw footage that you have taken and chop out the parts that do not apply to the message. Many potentially great videos have been ignored simply because they were too long or wandered off the main point. Use the extra footage for another video or simply keep it in your personal files such as Joel's flubs.
All the best.

Great stuff, well, at least for an experienced video maker.
How about letting Chris do a "Series" on say "Videos for Newbies"?
We could sure use it!
Thanks

Hey Joel!
This was a great video to help people understand that video can be a little more complex.
I've spent about 1000 hours (over the past two years) playing around in Sony Vegas, and have gotten pretty good at it... but I agree with the person above who said that Windows Movie Maker is a fine solution for anyone getting started.
The best part? Windows Movie Maker is already on the boxes of anyone who is using Windows, and I have heard that iMovie is easy-to-use for any Mac fans.
So... for anyone wanting to get into this, definitely take Joel's advice that it's okay to screw it up a lot. Anyone making any videos does.
Thanks for another great video Joel!

Great video, Joel. I have a recommendation for anyone wanting to try this out fairly inexpensively. Adobe Premiere Elements. It's a "lite" version of their high-dollar video editing software, but it's still really powerful. For most average users, this will be plenty. Most of the features that are not present in this version are super-advanced stuff that only pros will ever use. You can get it for about $100. Or they sell a bundle pack that also has Photoshop Elements for about $130. I have been using it for awhile now. Well worth the money!

Another great down to earth and informative video Joel and Chris
I've used Visual Communicator Pro 2 for my videos for the last couple of years, which has been great, but I think it's time to upgrade from my Logitech Pro 4000 webcam and buy a full on video camera. Any suggestions?
Be your best and love your life

Great stuff Joel.
I just bought your "Adsense Secrets 4" ebook and the fact that you are having such great success online, inspires me to someday have my own products created and sold online.
