One man's problems are another (wo)man's opportunity. When I saw everyone running away is when I dove in and I have never looked back. Many Dot Coms had the right idea, just poor planning, timing or implementation. You were wise to take a break at that time and regroup.

It's like you have lived where I am now. My wife has asked the question your wife asked, except that I was totally cleaned out by 2006 June and I have had to find a job and start a brick and mortal biz. I also know what you mean when you said you just knew there was gold in there. Very inspiring for me.
With your literature I have moved from blogger.com to wordpress 2.5 and still learning a lot. I can see the light at the end of this tunnel and it's getting brighter faster. Waiting for my pockets to follow suit!
Keep 'em coming. I'm game.
